What you can do.

01
Add all holidays from Excel
Got your school’s holiday list ready in an Excel sheet? Upload it once and you’re done. No need to type every holiday one by one.
02
Sudden holiday? Add it in seconds
Heavy rain, a bandh, an emergency closure. Mark today off as a holiday — every parent gets a message right away.
03
Exams, sports day — all in one place
Term exams, half-yearlies, sports day, parent-teacher meetings — every important date sits on the same calendar teachers and parents already check. No separate timetable to maintain.
04
Update once, everyone sees it
When your office updates the calendar, the change shows up on every teacher’s and parent’s phone immediately. No more “Sir, is school open tomorrow?” calls.

Calendar doesn’t have to feel this hard.

The usual way
  • Type each holiday into Excel. Email the file to staff. Re-share whenever something changes.
  • WhatsApp broadcast to 200 parents for a sudden closure. Hope they see it before pickup time.
  • Parents refer to a printed circular pinned somewhere in the school bag.
  • Two separate documents — one for holidays, one for exam dates. Both go out of sync.
With AiScholr
  • Upload your Excel once. Every entry sits in the system, visible to everyone, every day.
  • Mark the day off in the app. Every parent gets a push notification within seconds.
  • Calendar is always in the parent app — the same one your school office sees.
  • One calendar — holidays, exams, sports day, parent-teacher meetings, all together.

You probably want to know.

Does it work without internet?
Once the calendar is synced to teachers’ and parents’ phones, they can view it offline. Adding new entries needs an internet connection on the admin’s device.
Can I import my existing Excel sheet?
Yes. Drop your year’s holiday list in. We need columns for Date, Name and Type (national / regional / school-specific). The system handles the rest.
What if my school doesn’t follow CBSE or ICSE?
The calendar is independent of board. Add your school’s specific dates manually. State-level public holidays come preloaded by region.
Can different sections have different calendars?
One school-wide calendar covers everyone — that’s by design. For section-specific timetables like exam slots per class, use the Exams module.
What happens if I update a holiday at the last minute?
Updates push to teacher and parent apps within seconds. This single feature stops the morning “Sir, is school open tomorrow?” calls.
