How are classes and sections organised in AiScholr?
Each class (1 through 12, plus Nursery / LKG / UKG) can have multiple sections (A, B, C — as many as your school runs). Subjects map to streams (Science / Commerce / Arts for senior classes). Each section has its own class teacher, attendance, marks and notices — kept scoped so a teacher only sees the sections they’re assigned to.
Can a student be in two sections temporarily?
A student belongs to one section at a time. If they transfer mid-term, you move them; the previous section’s records stay intact in their history.
How long does the year-end promotion take?
A few seconds for the bulk action. A few minutes if you want to review the list before confirming. Most schools do it in under 30 minutes including the review.
Can I retire a section that’s no longer running?
Yes — a few clicks to retire any section that’s no longer running. Its historical data stays; new students can’t be added to it.
